The moment they announced the world tour i was already up and arms determined i will see it even if i had to go overseas for it. I wasn’t sure they’ll consider the Philippines because while we’re big on kpop here, PH is pretty much an SMTown country save for 2ne1… although not really coz it’s actually Sandara Park’s , not 2ne1 as a whole.
Since January, i’ve been saving up for it. So much coz i might go to Singapore for it, if i have to. When they finally announced the tour dates i was more than ecstatic! After years of pinning after BigBang, i’m gonna be finally seeing them. 4 years is indeed a long time coming.
i had just enough money for a VIP 3 standing ticket, i could even pull off a VIP seated, but i honestly didn’t think the VIP seated was worth it, and i didn’t think i could stand in adrenaline in the standing section so i was really just determined to get a Lower Box seating, But it had to be front row seat! The day of the release was raining extravagantly hard, there was a storm if i remembered right and it was flooded everywhere. Still i braved going to the nearest mall, SM Taytay to get my ticket. Delays with the release and everything, panic almost ensued; apparently there were only 3 people at SM ticket booth in SM Taytay who have inquired on BigBang tickets. I thank heaven’s that day that the girls manning the booth was patient and accommodating enough of the constant bugging. An then i finally got my ticket. Granted it wasn’t my first choice seat by the middle, i still got a pretty decent seat in lower box area.
The wait leading to October 24, was excruciating enough. It has taken me energy and determination not to just go to Youtube and search for everything i could of the concert. I want to be surprised to not expect anything, not even the set list.
I bought new shoes and bags for the concert lmao!
Finally, the day of the concert came.
The night before there was a sudden announcement that any form of camera is not allowed. I was in a panic on how i will hide my planned 3 cameras with me. Lmao i did manage to tho.. hehe
Since i have a reserved seat, i did not have to go and camp out of MOA Arena to line. my original plan was to arrive a 6PM, but since i sold some of my 2ne1 stuffs, i met up with the buyers early, so i was already at the MoA arena by 4. I was alone, didn’t have anyone to go with me so it was futile, even hilarious, if i go crazy over the sponsor booths so i didn’t.

I lined up at 5:30 PM after eating an early dinner at Kenny Rogers. Wondering why BigbangPh still isn’t handing out mission paraphernalia like they originally planned. Anyway, the gates should have opened up at 6, but by some reason, they didn’t until 7. By then we were all scrambling i though there was going to be a stampede. It was crazy and exhausting. I got squished, stamped on, i was sweating profusely, and i know i stared to smell really bad. There was increased tension at how poorly MoA arena handled the concert goers. I’ve seen at least 4 who passed out.
The concert should start at 8pm sharp, and it was already 730, and i was still in line. It was a nightmare in line. Finally a few minutes to 8, i finally reached the entrance. Since ive been to the Jonas Brothers concert a few days before, i knew how the guards inspected the bags and all that. I saw that the guard on the other line was incredibly strict and he really confiscated cameras and all. I was really lucky that i lined up to a guard to was pretty lax about it, YeS i was able to sneak in all my 3 cameras! 🙂
I was exhausted at this point, dehydrated and on the verge of nervous breakdown from too much excited and trauma. Lmao. Got a huge serving of coke and filled up on my sugar. After getting assisted by an usherette, i was finally on my seat. Looked up around the arena and noticed that seats still hasn’t been filled up. There still a huge huge line by the time i got inside the arena. I settled on my seat, had a few chats with a few girls a couple of seats away. I fixed my cameras ready. It was already a few minutes after 8 then. Then, while still waiting for my sweat to dry up, the lights closed down and the concert vtr started playing. At this point i didn’t know if i should stand coz i didn’t want to be rude and block the people behind me, but when i looked back they were all standing so i was WTH, i did and OmG finally the concert started!
Seeing these 5 magnificent guys standing 20 meters away from me, is exhilarating I was on the verge of hysterics from too much happiness at finally seeing them in the flesh. The curtains went down and the arena was filled with screams over the opening verses for STILL alive gave me goosebumps when i saw them standing in their capsules from outer space in all they swag and stance ready for that perfect picture. And then finally, the opening lines for Tonight, with GD screaming “what’s up, Philippines!” i totally lost it.
Intro + still alive + Tonight
Song after song they gave it their all, at this point i was numb i didn’t care if i hurt the people around me from flailing too much. I was enjoying it to the best of my energy. The concert was beautiful, Pyro techniques, elaborate costumes, sets; it was a show to see. Seeing bigbang just on my computer screen for 4 years was nothing compared to how awesome they are in real life.
G-dragon is a force to be reckoned with. As the leader of Bigbang he is put together, but still encompasses that charm and authority. I was in awe, and i know everyone will be too, especially that almost the entire discography of BigBang is written and or produced by him. He is talent and just seeing him, he is bigger than life.
Taeyang is everywhere, he moves a lot, tearing up his clothes and sending motherfuckers into frenzy. As the the most verse in english, he did most of the talking. Although to be honest, i barely understood what he is saying. I think he was trying to sound ghetto, and cool but it doesn’t come out naturally. He may come out as obnoxious half the time but one cannot deny he was trying hard. With that i still thank him. I still didn’t like his hair, it is ugly!
Seungri was a sweetheart. His fanservice is incredible. His personality is so big, he doesn’t care if his english sucks balls. At one point he said “SiGaW” ! Haha. He is always trying, and that’s one of his best attributes. He sounded beautiful too on bigbang ballads. I think a lot of Filipinas fell in love with him that night. He is quite a charmer.
T.O.P. received the loudest screams. I guess it is safe to say he is Manila’s fan favorite. Every little thing he does elicit shrieks(and moans) from hormone driven fangirls who though they can get pregnant just by hearing TOP. He is a funny man that night, servicing us with his choom dancing and his rare english. His voice is raspy, and sexy. He is incredibly good looking.
Daesung. daesung. Daesung. When people ask me who my favorite in bigbang was, i always tell them it’s taeyang. But months leading to the concert i realize that somewhere along that road, daesung went from 2nd to 1st. .. i brought a daesung banner… reviewing my fancams, i realized i was shrieking daesung’s name the entire night. HE IS A BEAUTIFUL ANGEL WITH THE MOST BEAUTIFUL VOICE IVE EVER HEARD. He is unassumingly quiet but when when he performs he is incredible. I am in love and in awe of daesung. He was the highlight of the night for me. When he sang WINGS i was waving banner hoping he would notice. He didn’t but it’s ok. He received a huge love from me that night. I know he felt it. Haha
I couldn’t pick my favorite but HARU-HARU was one of the most special that night. I thought i was going to cry, but i didn’t. I was just too happy that night, i was taking it all in. I remember just closing my eyes holding my head up high and thanking that i was given the opportunity to see them.
Coming to the concert was the highlight of my year. One of the best night of my life. although i wished they sang koe wo kikasete as well but who ask for more? They’ve given me so much that night that a month later, i’m writing this with memories as fresh as the night itself. Thank you BIGBANG
ViP until whenever
